Morganite

 

Morganite is the pink variety of the beryl family of gemstones. Other gemstone colour varieties that belong to beryl include emerald, heliodor, and aquamarine. Other colours of beryl are simply referred to by their colour, such as red beryl.
00000Morganite is coloured by trace amounts of manganese that find their way into the crystal structure. It is named after J.P. Morgan, a famous American industrialist. It is an aid to the heart and lungs.
