Orange Sapphire

One of the most valuable fancy sapphire is an orange-pink or pinkish-orange variety called 'padparadscha' after the lotus blossom.
00000Much of the orange sapphire on the market today is treated, often with beryllium to achieve a colour similar to padparadscha, and because it treated is less expensive and much more freely available

The sapphire is associated with many magical powers, including the ability to heal wounds, and as an antidote for poisons. It is believed to amplify intuitive ability, and is useful as an aid to meditation.
00000We supply sapphires of all qualities and keep a wide stock of "fancy" colours.
